St. Joseph Patient Care Center

A new hospital building at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange County. A 23,000 sq.m., four-level glass and concrete building houses an expansive main entrance and lobby, 150 patient rooms, 14 operating suites, and substantial support and plant functions.

St. Jude Medical Center - Northwest Tower

The existing 4-story reinforced concrete building had undergone seismic retrofit successfully using Performance based Earthquake Engineering approach called Nonlinear Static or Pushover Analysis based on 2001 California Building Code.

Sharp Memorial Hospital – South Tower
San Diego, California, U.S.A.

The South Tower at Sharp Memorial Hospital is an acute care building. The building consists of 8 storeys reinforced concrete structure which was built prior to 1972. Hence, the building had been classified as “high” seismic risks and needed to be seismically retrofitted per California Seismic Regulations.

Sharp Memorial Hospital – North Tower

The building is a steel building with 8 storeys high. The main lateral system is pre-Northridge moment resisting frame system. Seismic retrofit design was conducted using Performance-based Earthquake Engineering per 2007 California Building Code.

Centinela Hospital Medical Center - Building 5

A mid-1960’s existing hospital building served as the main hospital for 1984 Summer Olympic event in Los Angeles. Building 5 was built prior to 1972 which is had undergone seismic evaluation and retrofit work. This building is an 8-storeys building
